The Problem

Human trafficking exists here in WI.  Detective Maja Krajcinovic calls it "the seedy underbelly" of Madison. Quietly yet pervasively spreading, it is rapidly becoming our community's newest "drug of choice" (Krajcinovic). Though difficult to quantify, city officials are reaching out to the community for help and solutions to problems such as a lack of stable housing, healthcare, and other services.
